Got off the plane in P-ma last night at about 10:30 pm and thought, damn its hot! First impressions are great... what a city. Rivals most US cities in amenities and cleanliness.

The people are so nice! Hired a driver today for around $40 (and lunch) to help scout out a surf shop... Not terribly successful. Somehow found Boa Surf boards, shaped right in Panama city but no one was there. Other than that, all the shops we visited were like Zumiez in your local mall...plenty of shorts and bikinis but little to no surfboards. In fact, the 3-4 shops my driver could find were in malls!

Panama City feels like you never left San Diego. Kinda cool in some ways but I cant wait to get to the islands and be mellow, check out some local culture and food and get to what we came here for... SURF!
