Being here blurs the lines between the dream world and the waking one.
Glassy waves break in the distance, the pure energy so mesmerizing that at times we just sit on our boards and watch them peel by. The water is so clear that you can look straight down at the deep reef as you surf over it, a multitude of greens, blues and turquoise shades shifting as you speed across it.
Some get up at dawn and do yoga on the top of the boat as the 1st light of day filters through the palm trees on the shore of the lone island that sits off our bow.
There’s been no shortage of some incredible waves, with us getting everything from 4-10 foot waves., lefts and right. We’ve have the option to surf up to 3 times a day, and can get to a number of breaks from the boat.
The other day after having just come back from surfing we spotted 2 manta rays swimming right next to the boat. In moments we were swimming right next to it, diving down to swim with it underwater as it glided effortlessly, turning on it’s back to do slow, graceful arching circles. Then a large school of yellow and blue fish appeared and surrounded us as the light from the surface created columns of light that radiated down through the water. The fish would actually change colors right in front of you, switching from bright yellow to pure electric blue. Magic.
