Canadian Powder Triangle

The interior ranges of B.C. are home to 6 different mountain ranges, which get hammered by legendary light and deep snowfalls each Winter. This area has become an epicenter for riders looking for access into a variety of snowboarding/ski options, ranging from mountain resorts to 10 different snowcat and heli operations. This region is known as the ‘Powder Triangle’ for it’s abilty to catch storm systems. The mountain terrain offers everything from wide open alpine bowls to old growth tree runs.

trip overview:

Difficulty: Medium / Price:  Please contact us / Location: Interior, British Columbia / Spots Remaining: 10

We’ll start the trip out riding for 3 days at a mountain resort with 2900 ft of vertical drop, and terrain consisting of steeps, glades, bowls and trees. This resort is known as the freeride mountain of the interior of B.C.

We’ll also check out their new snowcat operation for a day, which accesses exclusive terrain and tons of powder.
After getting warmed up at the resort and on the snowcat we’ll head into a remote lodge for 2 days of the ultimate luxury, heli skiing.
With a private lodge, a gourmet chef, a helicopter and a snowcat back up, we’ll get to experience the best powder B.C. has to offer.
We’ll then move to the charming and historic town of Nelson, and ride at a nearby ski area. Riding at this area is like going back in time a bit. The main chair is still a 2 seater, but the fun terrain and lack of people keep locals coming back for endless powder runs. On our last day of riding we’ll head to another snowcat operation, which offers access to some of the best tree runs in B.C., as well as high alpine bowls.
